Officer allowed to make an exit after acknowledging mistake & apologising
There was a heated argument between the Almora chief development officer and municipal ward members of Nainital. The argument took place regarding the officer parking his vehicle at Pant Park in Mallital area of the city.
The chief development officer of Almora, Anshul Singh had reached Nainital on some personal work on Saturday evening. There was a heated argument between the official and ward members of Nainital regarding him parking his car at Pant Park. The ward members, local shopkeepers and some local BJP workers sat to protest at the gate of the park. The protesters prevented the vehicle of the chief development officer from making an exit. With the situation escalating, the chief development officer acknowledged his error and sought an apology from the ward members.
Ward member Manoj Sah Jagati said that he had asked the chief development officer to move his car and park it a bit away from the municipality gate. He said that the officer got angry and allegedly misbehaved with him. He alleged that the officer attempted to misuse his official position and threatened to send the ward member to jail. The situation was resolved later after the officer acknowledged his mistake and apologised to the public representatives.
