Shri Venkateshwara School of Nursing hosted a seminar on the theme- ‘Our Nurses, Our Future, Caring for nurses Strengthens Economies’-on Monday to mark the International Nurses Day held to commemorate the birth day of Florence Nightingale. While inaugurating the seminar, the chairman of Venkateshwara Group of Institutions, Sudhir Giri said that nursing which exemplifies service and dedication is one of the noblest professions. It was no less noble than the profession of the doctors, he added. Addressing the gathering, the pro chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi said that it was an occasion to gratefully remember the service of the nurses and felicitate them.
Notably, over 400 nursing students took oath of selfless service to the sick. Besides, the nursing staff of the Venkateshwara School of Nursing and Hospital presented cultural performances and a street play to mark the occasion.
