Various activities planned as part of RBI campaign

The Consumer Education and Protection Department (CEPD), Reserve Bank of India is undertaking various activities this month as part of a nationwide campaign. The campaign is aimed at enhancing the level of financial education and awareness among the customers on financial customers rights, Internal Grievance Redress (IGR) and Alternate Grievance Redress (AGR) mechanism of the RBI, partially targeting the hitherto unreached and isolated segments of the population and regions.

The third phase of this campaign is being undertaken throughout November to bring about a meaningful and quick improvement in the awareness levels of the population across the segments and regions and also protect the citizens from the rising incidents of cyber frauds being perpetuated on the customers. Various activities including outreach programmes, townhall meetings, workshops, social media interviews, customer fairs, street plays and advertisements will be facilitated by all the regulated entities including PSBs, RRBs, cooperative banks, NBFCs and private banks.
