Uttarakhand Congress will stage protests outside the offices of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India and the branches of the State Bank of India on February 6 in all the districts of the State. In these demonstrations, the Congress workers would register their protest against what they call the Adani scam.
Interacting with the media persons at the headquarters of the Uttarakhand Congress, vice president Suryakant Dhasmana said that the Adani scam has hit the country and the share market has crashed due to it. Crores of investors who had invested in the Adani group of companies are frightened but the regulator of the share market SEBI and the Reserve Bank of India (SBI) is maintaining a stoic silence on the issue which is surprising. He said that the Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax, and Central Bureau of Investigation are also quiet on the issue because they know who his friend of Adani is. Dhasmana said that the ruling party is providing protection to those responsible for such scams.
He said that the BJP government of Uttarakhand is toeing the line of the Union government and providing patronage to the culprits of the recruitment scams in the State.
The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni and Shispal Singh Bisht was also present on the occasion.
