Seeking prompt implementation of Uttarakhand High Court orders of equal pay for equal work, Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Nigam Limited Employees Union will further intensify the protest and gherao the Secretariat on Friday. This was informed by the State president of the union, Kushagra Joshi. The union today started an indefinite protest at Ekta vihar situated protest site.
He disclosed that the employees of various departments from all the districts are participating in the protest against the State Government but no representative from the government has approached them so far to talk about the issues. He said, “The union wants the government to regularise UPNL employees and pay them equal pay for equal work as per the High Court orders.” He further added, if the government will not initiate any conversation on Thursday, the union will escalate the protest across the State and gherao Secretariat on Friday.
