UPES ‘Run For Tomorrow’ promotes road safety & drug awareness

UPES organised a five-kilometre ‘Run For Tomorrow’ to promote road safety and raise awareness about drug abuse. The university said that more than 500 students and 100 employees participated in the run. The winner received Rs 10,000, the runner-up received Rs 7,500 and the second runner-up was presented with Rs 5,000.

Himanshu Kumar, Aanchal Tailwal, Saurabh Bisht and Manju Pant clinched the gold medal. Aryan, Daxita Mann, Sameer Kumar, and Shweta Panwar won the silver medal and Swasthik, Khushi Chhetri, Rahul Kumar and Poonam won the bronze medal.

Vice chancellor Ram Sharma said, “At UPES, our belief centres on cultivating a holistic environment for our students and creating a fulfilling workplace for our faculty and staff. This marathon stands as a testament to our commitment to physical and mental well-being. We are determined to host more such events in the future.”
