Op Sindoor & aftermath: State police on ‘high alert’

In latest news from Doon, the director general of Uttarakhand police, Deepam Seth said that all units of the police department have been put on high alert in view of the escalating military confrontation between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam killing and Operation Sindoor. He further said that round- the- clock vigilance is being maintained on sensitive establishments and religious places and along the international borders. SSB surveillance along the Nepal borders has been intensified, he said, adding that verification drives have been going on in full swing. He further said that fool-proof security is being provided for Char Dham Yatra through adequate deployment of State police and paramilitary personnel. He appealed to the people to desist from posting inflammatory messages on the social media platforms while stating that they were closely monitoring the posts.
