With the aim to promote adventure tourism in the state, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) in collaboration with Xtreme Sports Organisation (XSO) will be organising the Drive Ver. 2.O Subzero Expedition Uttarakhand car rally from February 14 to 24 in the state.
Commenting on the same, Tourism minister Satpal Maharaaz said, “Adventure tourism is rapidly coming up in the state and we are glad that adventure enthusiasts are considering Uttarakhand as one of the ideal destinations in the world.”
Tourism secretary Dilip Jawalkar said, “UTDB is committed to organise and promote adventure-based expeditions. We are sure that these activities will encourage more adventure lovers to visit and explore Uttarakhand.”
Elaborating more about it, XSO co-founder Raj Kapoor said “Being a 20-year-old organisation we run extremely popular annual motorsport events. This year we have decided to come to Uttarakhand with our team. The drive will commence from Delhi on February 14 and will reach Rishikesh on February 15. The 15 vehicles will move to Guptkashi on February 16 and 17. Next, the drive will move to Kausani on February 18 and then to Munsyari on February 19 and 20. On February 21 the cars will travel to Binsar and then to Corbett national park on February 22 and 23. We are thrilled to explore the beautiful state and are looking forward to a journey of a lifetime.”
