The Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC) is seekung the advice of the general public on the proposed Uttarakhand Film policy- 2022 till September 15. The council had uploaded the draft document of the policy for public suggestions on its website on July 20. The nodal officer of the UFDC, Nitin Upadhyaya said that the suggestions can be sent on the e-mail of the department udfc2015@gmai.com till September 15. He said that the final work on the draft of the policy would be done by including suggestions received till September 15.
The draft of the film policy was uploaded in the department portal link http:// www.uttarainformation.gov.in/images/download/filmpolicydraft2022.pdf on July 20 this year. The UFDC was set up to bring the natural beauty and culture of Uttarakhand on the world forum, to lure the producers and directors from the country and abroad for shooting their movies in Uttarakhand, development of infrastructural facilities in film sector so that local employment is generated and earning avenues at local level are created. The council also provides grants to the filmmakers, promotes tourism, promotes films in local dialects and folk artists and sets up a single window system. Upadhyaya said that the suggestions from the people and the institutes have been received on the draft proposal of Uttarakhand Film policy -2022.
