Covid-19 tally mounts to 58601 in U’khand

13 deaths, 241 fresh cases reported on Tuesday

The tally of deaths from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand mounted 946 on Tuesday with the state health department reporting the death of 13 patients. The department reported 241 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday after which the count of Covid-19 patients climbed to 58601.

The authorities discharged 376 patients of the disease after their recovery from different hospitals of the state on Tuesday. A total of 51862 patients have so far recovered from the disease. The recovery rate from the disease has climbed to 88.50 and the Infection Rate (IR) now is at 6.53 percent.

Six patients of the disease were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Tuesday. Similarly three patients of Covid-19 expired at Himalayan hospital, Dehradun. Two patients were reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital, Dehradun while one patient each died at Kailash hospital Dehradun and Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on the day.

The authorities reported 90 fresh cases of the disease from Dehradun district on Tuesday, similarly 37 patients in Haridwar, 23 in Nainital, 20 in Almora, 18 in Uttarkashi, 15 in Pithoragarh, eight in Udham Singh Nagar, seven in Chamoli, six each in Chamoli and Champawat, three in Rudraprayag and one in Bageshwar district was reported.

The state now has 5364 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 1716 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 692 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 598, Pauri 464, Udham Singh Nagar 301, Uttarkashi 292, Chamoli 271, Tehri 247, Champawat 190, Pithoragarh 186, Almora 169 and Rudraprayag 132 active cases of the disease. With 106 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table of active cases in Uttarakhand.
