Covid-19 vaccine administered on 7434 people in U’khand

70092 people have so far been vaccinated on 1772 vaccine sessions in the state. Only 47 new cases and three deaths reported on Friday. Just  945 active patients of the pandemic now

In the ongoing vaccination drive 7434 people were vaccinated in 134 vaccine sessions held on Friday in Uttarakhand.

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of state Covid-19 control room, Dr Abhishek Tripathi said a total of 70092 people have so far been vaccinated on 1772 vaccine sessions in the state. On Friday 47 vaccine sessions were held in Dehradun where 2596 people were vaccinated while in Haridwar 1766 people were administered vaccines in 18 sessions. In Nainital 663, Almora 410, Pithoragarh 395, Pauri 388, Tehri 380, Udham Singh Nagar 309, Chamoli 175, Uttarkashi 148, Bageshwar 146, Champawat 41 and Rudraprayag 17 people were vaccinated on Friday.

Meanwhile the number of patients of Covid-19 increased to 96431 in the state on Friday with the state health department reporting 47 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of three patients from the disease which increased the death toll to 1662 in the state. The authorities discharged 97 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on Friday. A total of 92469 patients have recovered from the disease in the state and the recovery percentage is now at 95.89 while the sample positivity rate is 4.43 percent. One patient of Covid-19 each was reported dead at Himalayan hospital Dehradun, Max hospital Dehradun and Jaya Maxwell hospital Bahadrabad on Friday.  The authorities reported 21 new patients from Dehradun, nine from Nainital, seven from Udham Singh Nagar, four from Chamoli, two each from Almora and Pithoragarh and one from Haridwar and Rudraprayag on Friday. The districts of Bageshwar, Pauri, Tehri and Uttarkashi reported no case of the disease on the day.

The state has only 945 active patients of the disease now. Haridwar district now is at the top of the table of active cases of the disease with 140 patients. Dehradun has 138, Nainital 134, Bageshwar 120, Udham Singh Nagar 107, Almora 100, Pithoragarh 68, Tehri 41, Pauri 30, Rudraprayag 20, Uttarkashi 18, Chamoli 17 and Champawat 12 active cases of the disease.
