PM’s Rishikesh visit- Dhami inspects preparations

In view of the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a surprise visit to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh on Wednesday. He inspected the venue at AIIMS- R where the PM would dedicate the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants to the nation. Dhami directed that all the preparations for the programme should be completed on time and the arrangements should be as per the protocol of PM Modi. The CM also said that the Covid-19 protocol should be observed during the event.

Later talking to the media persons, the CM said that it is a matter of great pride for Uttarakhand that PM Modi is inaugurating the oxygen plants across the country virtually from Uttarakhand. He said that the PM has a special affinity for Uttarakhand and the all weather road, Rishikesh- Karnprayag rail link and the increased air connectivity by the UDAN project are his gifts to the state. Dhami added that the visit of the PM would be beneficial for the development of the state.

The Vidhan Sabha speaker Premchand Agarwal, cabinet minister Swami Yatishwaranand, Mayor of Dehradun Sunil Uniyal Gama, finance secretary Amit Singh Negi, Information secretary Pankaj Pandey and others were present on the occasion.

The AIIMS – Rishikesh administration is geared up for the visit of the PM to the institute. The AIIMS authorities have set up a safe house for the PM at the residence of the director.
