Doon officer to lead Sandesh to Soldiers on AIR

Major general (retd) Ravi Arora – a senior resident of the Doon valley, who passed out from Indian Military Academy in March 1972 with the coveted President’s Gold Medal presented by Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, will be the chief guest on All India Radio programme “Sandesh to Soldiers” at 4 PM on Sunday.

Arora will talk about his experiences in National Defence Academy, as Commanding Officer of 14 Punjab Battalion, commander of amphibious brigade in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as a selector at Services Selection Board, adventure activities, customs and traditions, war memorials and many more subjects concerning the country’s defence forces.

He is currently editor of the Indian Military Review, India’s leading magazine that highlights matters concerning the armed forces.
