The process of admission in the MTech course in Computer Science and Engineering has started in Doon University. The MTech students of the university would specialise in cloud computing and data sciences . A communiqué from the university informed that for admission in the MTech the students should have BTech degree either in computer science and engineering, IT, electronics, mechanical, MCA or MSc computer sciences with minimum 60 per cent marks from a recognised university or institute. It is worth mentioning here that a four year degree course in the Computer sciences department of the university as per the norms of the New Education Policy (NEP)-2020 is already underway in the Computer Sciences department of Doon University.
The vice chancellor of the Doon University Surekha Dangwal said that large number of parents and students had demanded that the university should have employment oriented courses like MTech in computer sciences so that the students can get better and employment oriented education from government universities and the MTech programme of the university is a step in this direction.
