A 19-year-old young man was found shot dead at Gadarpur in Udham Singh Nagar early on Tuesday morning. However, the police are suspecting it to be a suicide case based on the evidence found so far. According to the police, the deceased named Farman Ali was found dead in his bicycle puncture repair shop by his mother around 4 AM on Tuesday. One of the locals informed the police after his mother started crying watching her son’s blood soaked body. According to the police inspector Vijendra Shah, the deceased was shot to death but it appeared during the investigation that he possibly shot himself. “When our team arrived at the site, the mother of the deceased told the police that her son had killed himself. We even found an audio message in his mobile phone in which he talked about burying his body next to his dead father. He has even stated in the audio that he has given some money to his mother which must be spent on his burial after his death,” said the inspector. He said that nobody from the family of the deceased has filed any police complaint on the matter but the police are taking cognisance of the matter and will continue the investigation to substantiate the cause of the death of Farman Ali.

He said that it appears to be a suicide case considering the pieces of evidence found so far but the police are waiting to get the post-mortem report among other necessary reports to get a clearer picture of the matter.
