Struggling to form its State team, Congress can’t be expected to unite nation: Bhatt

The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the Congress is struggling to form its team in Uttarakhand but its leaders are talking of uniting India. The BJP will achieve a resounding victory in the local body elections in the new year while the Congress will struggle to find its candidates, he said. The BJP State president said this while interacting with media persons at the party’s State office here on Friday.

Bhatt said, “Karan Mahara became the Pradesh Congress Committee president before I became the BJP State president but he has not been able to form his State team so far. In such a situation, one cannot expect his party to unit the nation. The BJP is going to form its team to the Mandal level and the new year is going to be very good for the party. On the basis of a strong organisation till the ground level, the BJP will achieve a resounding victory in the coming Panchayat and local body elections in the new year. On the other hand, the Congress may find it difficult to even find candidates,” said the BJP State president while citing the examples of the Haridwar Panchayat elections and Champawat Assembly bypoll.
