Saturday, 26 February 2022 | PNS | Dehradun

The Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar has issued an order to revert the station house officer (SHO) of ISBT police station to the police line for being negligent and not taking required action in a case. The officials informed that the representatives of Dokham Tibetan Foundation had filed complaints regarding encroachment on their land in the Arcadia Grant of Patelnagar by elements of the land mafia. They also complained about the misbehaviour of such people with the watchman deployed on the property and his wife. The complainants had also complained of vandalism on their property but the SHO allegedly failed to take appropriate action in the matter despite the complaints, as per the officials. The complainants also met DGP Ashok Kumar on Friday to state the aforementioned issues to him. As per the order issued on Friday, Kumar has directed that the SHO should be reverted to police line for being negligent towards the issue and has directed the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and senior superintendent of police (SSP) Janmejaya Khanduri to conduct an unbiased investigation in the matter.
