Satluj Hydroelectric Project: DM listens to villagers in Mori

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the district magistrate, Uttarkashi, Meherban Singh Bisht visited Mori on Monday and listened to the problems of the villages affected by the projects being implemented by Satluj Jal Vidyut Pariyojana Limited (SJVN). In the presence of the Purola MLA, Durgeshwar Lal, he met the villagers in Bainol village.
The villagers presented their complaints to the DM.  He reviewed Baraat Ghar, toilet construction in Naitwar, Gainchwan and Bainol villages, equipment at the primary health centre at Mori, Covid care unit and renovation of schools. He also reviewed the progress of beneficiary-oriented schemes.

Addressing the villagers, the DM said that the Satluj hydroelectric project is strengthening local livelihood and horticulture aside from significantly boosting development of tourist places like Kedarkantha and Har ki Doon.
