The fifth foundation day of Regional Science Centre (RSC) was celebrated at Vigyan Dham premises of UCOST on Wednesday. Former Naval Armament Inspection director general and former BrahMos Aerospeace general manager, Rear Admiral (retd) OPS Rana was the chief guest while Army Cadet College commander Brigadier Shailesh Sati was the special guest.
Welcoming the gathering, UCOST DG Rajendra Dobhal spoke on Indian scientific institutions and their contributions in development of the country. He said that science and technology, and innovation are the backbone of development and India is frontrunner in this field. Addressing the gathering, Rana spoke on process of development of armaments and aspects of science and technology. The group of 125 ACC cadets along with their teachers visited galleries and viewed 3D science film at the centre.
