Light rain forecast at isolated places in Uttarakhand today

The State meteorological centre has forecast the possibility of very light to light rainfall/thunderstorm likely to occur at isolated places in districts of the State on Monday. Further, surface winds are likely to be strong and gusty during day time.  The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with thunder cloud development likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 36.5 degrees Celsius and 23.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.9 degrees Celsius and 26.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 27.5 degrees Celsius and 14.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 27.4 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri. Apart from this very light to light rain was also reported in different parts of the State on Sunday. Kanalichinna recorded nine millimetres of rain while there was 3.6 millimetres in Pithoragarh, three millimetres in Berinag, two millimetres each in Chinyalisaur and Ukhimath.
