Tourists for Mussoorie sans hotel booking may be stopped at Kuthal Gate on Jan 30-31

In latest news from Dehradun, in anticipation of huge rush of people to the popular hill stations like Mussoorie/ Dhanaulti during the new year season,  police have firmed up plans to keep things in order. Police sources in the know said that they might stop people without hotel booking from crossing Kuthal Gate on their way to Mussoorie/Dhanaulti. Only those having hotel booking and the locals would be allowed to enter the hill stations if police decide to implement the plan. Such a step may prevent traffic congestion in the hill stations and facilitate smooth movement of the touurists. This aside, police have formulated route diversion for Dehradun to keep the traffic flow on the roads normal. Plus, police have made elaborate arrangements for Rishikesh, including route diversion, to keep the roads free from traffic bottlenecks.
