Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has decided to sell the gifts and souvenirs received by him. He has directed the secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey to get all the gifts evaluated and then auction them. The CM wants that the money received from the sale of these items will be used for public welfare works. The auction should be open to the general public for participation.

It is pertinent to mention here that in the programmes held outside the State, many items such as shawls, paintings and artefacts are gifted to the CM. He now wants these items to be used for public welfare. After taking charge as the CM of the State, Dhami had appealed to the people of the State that they should not present bouquets to him. He also advocated the use of a sapling and books as gifts instead of bouquets.
