SHA to empanel all PHCs & CHCs in Ayushman Yojna

The State Health Authority (SHA) has decided to empanel all the Community Health Centres (CHC) and Primary Health Centres (PHC) of the State under the Ayushman Yojna. The chief executive officer (CEO) of the SHA, Reena Joshi has directed all the chief medical officers (CMO) to enlist all the CHCs and PHCs under the jurisdiction for empanelment.
In an online meeting of the CMOs held on Wednesday, Joshi said that the empanelment of the PHCs and CHCs will ensure free treatment to the beneficiaries near their homes under the Aysuhman scheme. She said that the PHCs and CHCs of Uttar Pradesh and many other States are empanelled in the Aysuhman scheme and the beneficiaries are taking benefit of free treatment near their homes.
The State has 614 PHCs and 83 CHCs. At present 59 CHCs are empanelled under the Ayushman scheme.
In the meeting the CEO directed all the districts to undertake a campaign for enlisting all the 614 PHCs and remaining 24 CHCs in the Ayushman scheme.
She said that as per the directive of the State government, the benefit of the Aysuhman scheme is being carried to every person.
Almora district has 65 PHCs while Bageshwar has 29, Chamoli 39, Champawat 18, Dehradun 62, Haridwar 40, Nainital 51, Pauri 93, Pithoragarh 53, Rudraprayag 38, Tehri 54, Udham Singh Nagar 40 and Uttarkashi 32 PHCs.
