Would attend the Sainya Samman Rally of the party on Dec 16
The former president of Congress party Rahul Gandhi would give a fillip to the election campaign of the party in Uttarakhand by holding a rally in Dehradun on December 16. He would attend a Sainya Samman Sabha organised by the Uttarakhand unit of Congress party in Dehradun. Informing about the visit of Rahul Gandhi, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that the country is celebrating 50 years of the famous victory in the Bangladesh war. He said that the historic achievement of defeating Pakistan and creation of a new country Bangladesh was made possible by the charismatic leadership of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Godiyal said that the Congress party is organising the Saniya Samman rally in Dehradun to remember the historic victory and leadership of Indira Gandhi.
Expressing happiness on the programme of Rahul Gandhi, the vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap said that his visit would kick-start the election campaign of the party in Uttarakhand.
