Police nab fraud accused from Delhi

The Pauri district police arrested accused Rajkumar from Delhi for fraud. He was produced in the court from where he was sent to 14 days judicial custody. The police managed to nab the accused five months after the case was lodged. According to police, an FIR was lodged in Kotdwar in October 2021 stating that an unknown person had withdrawn Rs. 1,48,390 fraudulently using forged documents.  The police registered a case under section 420 of IPC. On the directions of the Pauri senior superintendent of police Yashwant Singh Chauhan, a police team supervised by Kotdwar circle officer Ganesh Lal Kohli was formed to solve the case. Investigating the case, the police team made consistent efforts to trace the culprit who had carried out the fraud. The police acted on information collected through electronic survelliance and arrested the 37-year old accused Rajkumar from Kalyanpuri area of east Delhi.
