The Dehradun police arrested a 23-year-old man native of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh for eve-teasing in Kalsi on Friday. The officials informed that the police patrol from police station Kalsi reached Koti Road where it was reported that a young man was making obscene remarks on women passing by on the road. The police personnel observed the man from afar who soon made obscene remarks to another woman passing nearby on the road.
The police personnel chased the young man and arrested him on the spot. The police said that his obscene remarks could also lead to something unfortunate if he has not been arrested soon by them. The police have registered a case against him under section 294 of IPC and he will be presented in court soon. The police said that strict action will be taken against those who indulge in eve teasing young girls or women in the district.
