U’khand Tourism wins best stall award for homestay & adventure tourism at ITM Goa

Uttarakhand Tourism received the award for best stall for homestay and adventure tourism at the three-day India Travel Mart (ITM) held at Goa. The event was aimed at promoting the travel and tourism industry by facilitating exchange of ideas, sharing of knowledge and showcasing unique experiences, specially prepared travel, tour and holiday packages.

Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) participated in the event showcasing attractive destinations, specifically tailored around the spiritual, nature, wildlife and adventure circuits. The State displayed the range of options it offers including skiing, paragliding, bungee jumping, rafting, canoeing, mountain trekking, sky-watching at places like Auli, Nainital, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Nainital, New Tehri and other locations. The State representatives attempted to publicise wellness and Yoga destinations like Rishikesh which is well known as the world capital of Yoga and meditation.

The State also highlighted that it has six national parks, the first tiger reserve of India- Corbet tiger reserve, Nanda Devi national park and major spiritual destinations like the Char Dham shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

While Uttarakhand won the best stall for homestay and adventure tourism award, India tourism won the best stall award for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Odisha tourism won the best decorative stall award while Himachal tourism won the best stall award for adventure tourism.

According to the event organisers, ITM Goa offered a glimpse of tourist destinations specially designed package/deals for domestic and international tourists on the last day of the event.
