BJP govt fulfilling dreams of BR Ambedkar, claims Bansal

RajyaSabha MP, Naresh Bansal claimed that the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) is moving forward on the path of social justice and that the BJP government is fulfilling the dreams of BR Ambedkar. Addressing a press conference at the state headquarters of the party here on Friday he said that Ambedkar wanted to bring the backward section of the society into the national mainstream.

Attacking the Congress party Bansal said that that the party never followed the path shown by Baba Saheb and it considered the castes only as its vote bank. He added that the Congress party even prevented Ambedkar from getting elected to the parliament. Bansal said that as long as Congress was in power it didn’t allow the picture of Baba Saheb to be installed in the parliament. He was awarded Bharat Ratna in the 1990 when a non Congress government was in power at the centre. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister NarendraModi the BJP government has initiated many works for SC , ST and OBC in the last seven years. He listed the increase in the income limit for creamy layer in OBC from Rs six lakh to eight lakh, extending the reservation of SC and ST till January 25, 2030 and strengthening the prevention of atrocities on SC, ST act as some of the examples. Bansal said that the Modi government has given approval to set up 483 Eklavya Schools in the country. He added that the union government has decided to open 75,000 petrol pumps in the country and out of them 20,000 would be reserved for the members of SC and ST communities.

The vice presidents of Uttarakhand BJP DevendraBhasin, Anil Goyal, general secretary (state) Kuldeep Kumar and spokesman VinayGoyal were also present on the occasion.
