Terming the manifesto released by the BJP -which the party is claiming to be a ‘Vision document’- for the upcoming assembly elections as myopic the Congress party has said that the document is a bundle of lies. The national spokesperson of Congress party, Gaurav Vallabh said that the BJP has made no mention of the number of employment provided by it in the last five years. He said that BJP which finally released its manifesto just five days before the assembly election has also made no mention of ways of providing relief to the people from the burgeoning prices.

The media in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Rajeev Mehrishi said that the manifesto of BJP is a desperate but failed attempt to woo the electorate. He said that the people of the state have made up their mind to change the government and they would not change their minds by this manifesto. He said that the BJP has again banked on rhetoric in its manifesto . Mehrishi said that the manifesto clearly underlies that BJP has nothing to do with the development of the state and social welfare. He reminded that the BJP had promised bringing in Lokayukta in the year 2017 ahead of the assembly elections but even after five years of BJP rule Lokayukta is not visible. He said that the manifesto of BJP has no vision for improving the economy of the state, for women empowerment and welfare of elderly. Mehrishi said that it would have been better had the BJP sought apology from the people of the state for its failures.
