Union Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Friday that the Central and State governments had done good work following land subsidence in Joshimath. He said that the condition is improving and added that it is hoped that pilgrims on the Char Dham Yatra will have a safe journey through this area. The Union minister also inspected community health centres on the Yatra route and directed officials to bring about necessary improvements in health facilities.
Ealier in the morning, Mandaviya reached the Narsinh Mandir where he paid obeisance to the lord. Earlier on the first day of his two-day State visit, Mandaviya visited Malari village where he interacted with the villagers in the Vibrant Village scheme and also discussed various governmental schemes with them. The minister said that the road, network connectivity, electricity and water supply along with health facilities in the border region are better than before.
