Panwar resigns from post of Berozgar Sangh president

The president of Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangh (UBS), Bobby Panwar has resigned from his position.  He submitted his resignation to the core team of the UBS on Monday. In the meeting of the core team, Ram Kandwal of Kotdwar was unanimously elected as the new president of the UBS. After the resignation of Panwar, the working committee of UBS was also dissolved. A new committee will soon be appointed.

Interacting with the media persons, Panwar said that he has become politically active after contesting the Lok Sabha election of 2024 from Tehri as an independent candidate. He said that due to his preoccupations, he is not in a position to devote time for organisational activities of UBS. Panwar said that since UBS is a non-political organisation and should continue to remain so and keeping this in consideration he has resigned from his post. 

He said that after its creation in 2018, UBS was successful in its mission. Panwar also remembered the agitation of the UBS under his leadership. He claimed thousands of the youngsters were able to get jobs, action against the copying mafia was taken and the government was forced to bring in an anti-copying act which has brought transparency in the recruitment examinations.
