Patanjali Institute presented the automated soil testing machine ‘Dharti Ka Doctor’ to the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI). The use of this machine will help farmers in testing the soil of their agricultural land. Acharya Balkrishna said that ‘Dharti Ka Doctor’ has already been awarded a certification by the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). “Through this machine, 12 essential parameters of soil health are tested which include the availability of main nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus and potash and secondary nutrients like boron, iron, zinc, copper and manganese,” he said, adding that this machine has been patented and CE- certified by the Government of India.
He further informed that this machine had been developed by Patanjali scientists after years of extensive research. “This is a boon for farmers,” he said. “Besides, this machine will help farmers get fertiliser recommendations- chemical, organic and mixed according to the crop- by simple methods,” he added.
The director of CSSRI, Rajendra Kumar Yadav said that the machine would prove to be greatly useful for the farmers of the country. “Our team conducted extensive testing on this machine and found that this is the first such machine in the country by which all 12 parameters can be accurately tested,” he added.
