With tension escalating fast following the Operation Sindoor conducted by the Indian security forces, the air defence units of the Pakistan army in Sialkot and Lahore sustained heavy damage after the Indian armed forces targeted air defence radars and systems at a number of locations in Pakistan. As per sources, the HQ-9 missile defence system units, developed by China, were hit which rendered the Pakistani army defenceless in strategically important cities like Lahore and Sialkot. Sources said that Indian drone strikes have been conducted in response to Pakistani missile debris found at a village in Amritsar and intensified cross-border shelling along the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of civilians, including children.
