Only 23 new Covid-19 cases, one death in U’khand on Wednesday

The state health department reported only 23 new patients of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The death of one patient from the disease was reported on the day.

 The authorities also declared 50 patients cured on the day.  The department has so far detected 91,717 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,796 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 270 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.72 per cent on Wednesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.30 per cent on the day.  

  The health department reported 10 new patients from Dehradun, three from Nainital and two each from Almora, Chamoli and Haridwar on Wednesday. No new patients were found in the Bageshwar, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on Wednesday. 

The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 444.  Dehradun with 220 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 51 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with three active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 10,692 people were vaccinated in 735 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
