Pilgrims appreciate Yatra arrangements made by State

The State government is citing the experience of many pilgrims to stress that it remains committed to facilitating a convenient, safe and orderly Char Dham Yatra. Officials have said that the pilgrims arriving in the State for the pilgrimage appear satisfied with the arrangements made by the government.

Raghunandan Vyas who visited Yamunotri from his hometown Indore, said that this was his first visit to Uttarakhand. He said that the government has made proper arrangements on the seven-kilometre trek from the taxi stand. He appreciated that health camps were set up in various slocations while the police and local administration were also seen busy ensuring the safety of the pilgrims. Another pilgrim from Indore city, Usha said that she was happy with the health facilities she had seen here. Health personnel are providing swift treatment in case anyone feels any discomfort, she said while thanking the authorities for the service.

Mukesh Kumar from Delhi opined that the State government had made better arrangements. Recounting his experience, he said that he was able to have a Darshan of the Goddess Ganga at Gangotri Dham with all devotees proceeding in an orderly manner without any pushing. He appreciated the various facilities ranging from drinking water to toilets on the Yatra route.

Akash Gupta who had reached Kedarnath from Ghaziabad appreciated the arrangements and thanked the State government for this. Stating that he had a good Darshan of the Lord, he said that sanitation and other arrangements had been done properly by the authorities.

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State government is committed to ensuring that every pilgrim has the complete spiritual experience in a convenient and safe manner. The authorities are consistently monitoring the arrangements even as the process for further improvement is also underway. The State is aiming to make the Yatra a memorable and safe experience for all, the chief minister said.
