After a gap of two years the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facility in Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital started on Monday. On the first day 20 MRIs were done by the new machine.
The old 1.5 Tesla MRI machine was installed at the biggest hospital of the state in the year 2009. The error prone machine was finally dumped in the year 2020 and after that the hospital lacked the facility of the MRI.
The in charge of the MRI in GDMC hospital Mahendra Bhandari said that the new machine is ultra modern and is capable of performing angioplasty of the brain and other organs.
