Covid-19 66 new patients in last three days in U’khand

Amid increase in cases of Covid 19 in different parts of the country Uttarakhand is also showing signs of increase in the number of cases of the disease. In the last three days the state health department has reported 66 cases of Covid-19. The department reported 26 new patients on December 15 while 20 patients each were reported on December 16 and 17.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,44,553 while a total of 3,30,797 patients have recovered from the disease so far.  A total of 7,413 patients of the disease have so far died in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.01 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Friday was 0.12 per cent. 

The state health department reported eight new patients from Dehradun, four patients from Nainital, three from Udham Singh Nagar, two from Pithoragarh and one patient each from Almora, Bageshwar and Haridwar districts on Friday.

 The state now has 155 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 63 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Nainital has 23 active cases of the disease. Tehri and Uttarkashi now have no active cases of the disease.

 In the ongoing vaccination drive 42,465 people were vaccinated in 1,168 sessions in the state held on Friday.
