Minister directs officers to set up Book Banks in all schools

The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the officers of the department to set up book banks in all the schools. The minister took a review meeting of the School Education department at the education directorate on Tuesday. In the meeting he said that the State government has set a target of setting up book banks in schools of the State so that the problem of shortage of textbooks is solved and the students get the books in time. Under the plan the books of the students who have passed out and other donors will be kept in the book banks.

 The minister told the officers that the State administration has released the budget for construction of buildings of selected PM Shree schools and cluster schools. He directed the officers to ensure that the construction works of PM Shree schools and cluster schools are completed on time.  Rawat said that the process of recruitment of 955 Cluster Resource Person (CRP) and Block Resource Person (BRP) is in its final phase. These recruitments will be done from the outsourcing agency.

 The minister added that the officers have been directed to fill vacant 2500 posts of class IV employees in the secondary schools of the State from the outsourcing agency. He said that the appointment of class IV workers should be completed on time.

 The meeting was attended by MLAs Bharat Chaudhary, Bhupal Ram Tamta, skill development and employment secretary Vijay Kumar Yadav, additional secretary of education Yogendra Yadav, director general of education Banshidhar Tiwari, director of State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) Vandana Gabrial, director of primary education RK Uniyal and others.
