Milestones achieved in this period after U’khand’s creation: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the development booklet ‘Sashakt Netritva Samriddh Uttarakhand’ here on Sunday. Stating that milestones had been achieved for the first time in 23 years of Uttarkahand’s creation, he said that the Information and Public Relations department should also bring it out as an e-book to enable the people to learn about the government’s public welfare schemes and benefit from the same using their mobile phones and other media.

Dhami said, “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, our government is committed to making Uttarakhand one of the best States in India. For the first time, so many works have been done in 23 years of the State’s creation. For the first time, strict legal action was taken against those involved in recruitment scam and we brought a strict anti-copying law. A law was also implemented to prevent religious conversion. Preparation is also underway to implement the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand. Further, 30 per cent horizontal reservation has been facilitated for women of the State and strict action is being taken against the corrupt. Regular police are being deployed in place of the revenue police. Further, for the first time, Uttarakhand is going to become an investment hub. The development of Uttarakhand is our aim and we are working diligently to achieve it,” he said.

He further said that PM Modi was the inspiration for the Global Investors Summit organised successfully in Dehradun. The participation of investors and various departments of the Central government also contributed to the success of this summit. He said that investment proposals worth more than Rs 3,50,000 crore had been received in this summit with participation of delegates from various Indian States and nations across the world.

Cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj, Prem Chand Agrawal, MLAs Munna Singh Chauhan, Khajan Das, Savita Kapoor, Sarita Arya, Suresh Gadhiya, Information secretary Shailesh Bagauli and director general Banshidhar Tiwari were also present on the occasion.
