In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Madhya Ganga irrigation department of Uttar Pradesh sent illegal occupation notice for a government-owned house in Haridwar to the present superintending engineer of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) Harichand Singh Rana aside from imposing a fine of Rs 7.26 lakh on him. Notably, Rana worked for the Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) for several years. Notably, as per the notice sent to the officer, no rent was being received for the government-owned house Rana kept occupying for the past ten years.
