Preparing for 3rd wave- training of Paediatricians starts

In view of the threat posed to the children by the probable third wave of the pandemic of Covid 19, the state health department has started training the paediatricians. A programme to train these doctors in a phased manner has started in three medical colleges of the state on Monday.

The director National Health Mission (NHM) and the member secretary of the state level task force set up by the government to prevent children from the third wave, Dr Saroj Naithani said that under the programme 70 paediatricians would be trained in the Government Medical College Haldwani, Government  Medical College Srinagar and Himalayan medical college Jollygrant. She informed that the department has already trained 23 EMTs of emergency ambulance service 108 on different aspects of child care. These EMTs would act as master trainers and train other EMTs in different districts.
