Leaders in responsible positions should not indulge in political rivalries- Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that political leaders sitting in responsible positions should work for the development of people rather than levelling allegations on each other. He said this in a response to the question about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement in the Lok Sabha on migrant exodus during the lockdown in 2020. UP CM Yogi Aditynath and Kejriwal had also accused each other of mismanagement during the first Covid wave in 2020 through their Twitter handles.

Taking about this spat, Kejriwal said, “I believe that the political leaders like me, PM Modi and UP CM who are sitting on responsible positions should not indulge in political rivalries and level such irrelevant allegations on each other. We should rather work for the development of people for which we are chosen by them.” He said, “I replied to the PM and CM’s remarks because people would have said that I have accepted these allegations if I remained quiet. I was also surprised by these allegations but I do not use foul language to respond. All I can do is work for the people.”
