International sustainability conference concludes at UPES

The two-day 4th International Sustainability Conference on Health, Safety, Fire and Environmental Advances (HSFEA-2023) concluded at UPES School of Advanced Engineering.  Office bearers of UPES said that the event focused on promoting global well-being became an interdisciplinary platform bringing together researchers, professionals, policymakers and industry experts to collaborate and share insights. Notably, the State’s chief secretary SS Sandhu attended the event as the chief guest. Besides, scientist at the Centre for Innovation and Translational Research, CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow Ashok Pandey and professor for Water Science and Technology, Tecnologico de Monterrey, MexicoJürgen Mahlknecht attended the panel discussion organised as part of Sustainability Fair 2.0. Over 1,000 delegates, including representatives of the corporate giants like Reliance, Adani Group and Tata Steel among others, participated in the fair. The UPES office bearers further informed that as a prelude to the event, the institute’s students organised social awareness campaigns to promote health and hygiene while the conference committee conducted student activities for over 1,500 students studying in nearby schools.
