Khushboo defies odds for brother Dushyant’s life with the aid of ImpactGuru.com

Khushboo’s brother, Dushyant Sharma, recently confronted a life-threatening battle against Influenza A and pneumonia in Kenya, a harrowing ordeal that has thrust their family into an unexpected journey.
As Dushyant and his wife eagerly await the arrival of their baby, fate dealt them a cruel hand. Dushyant’s health rapidly declined, leading to a precarious situation where he found himself on ventilator support in Kenya. The medical consensus was clear – he urgently required a lung transplant, a specialised procedure available at MGM Hospital Chennai in India.
In a testament to the power of community, the impossible became possible. Dushyant successfully returned to India, thanks to the collective support that facilitated an Air Ambulance with ECMO machine support for his safe transfer from Kenya to Chennai.
Khushboo has initiated a fundraising campaign on ImpactGuru.com to secure essential funds of Rs two crore for her brother’s critical medical treatment. The allocated funds will cover the expenses associated with a crucial Lung Transplant, estimated at approximately Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, a significant portion was dedicated to facilitating an Air Ambulance equipped with ECMO machine support, ensuring the safe transfer of her brother from Kenya to Chennai, incurring an approximate cost of Rs 1.06 crore. The remaining funds will be earmarked for comprehensive post-treatment care, underscoring the multifaceted needs of Dushyant’s ongoing medical journey.
Ongoing Struggles and the Financial Battle:
However, the journey is far from over. Dushyant still requires crucial medical care, including daily dialysis at MGM Hospital Chennai. The financial burden on the Sharma family is substantial, with daily costs reaching approximately Rs 1, 50,000.
“I work as a software developer and find it difficult to pay these outrageous bills. Our family is experiencing extreme financial hardship and we are unable to pay this enormous sum on our own.
