ITBP to help augment income of vibrant village residents

The Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will provide assistance to the Uttarakhand government in strengthening the economy of the vibrant villages in the State. The Para military force will also provide medical facilities and deploy its doctors in the villages located in the border areas.

 The Director General (DG) of the ITBP, Anish Dayal Singh gave this assurance in his meeting with the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday.  The DG expressed gratitude to the CM for the decision of the State government to provide jobs to the dependents of the martyrs of the ITBP.  He said that large numbers of troops in ITBP are from Uttarakhand. Singh said that ITBP will purchase the local products from the people residing in vibrant villages of the State which will help in augmenting their income. He also sought assistance from the cooperative committees of the State in this endeavour.

CM Dhami said that the State government is taking consistent measures to provide a boost to the economy of the vibrant villages. He said that every possible assistance will be provided to ITBP in its efforts to augment the income of people of vibrant villages. The CM said that the local products will be made available to ITBP with the help of cooperative committees. He said that the State government is focussing on branding, packaging and marketing of the local products.

 The Vikasnagar MLA, Munna Singh Chauhan, chief secretary SS Sandhu, additional chief secretary Radha Raturi , secretary Shailesh Bagoli, ADG ITBP Manoj Rawat, IG Sanjay Gunjyal, DIG Manu Maharaj and others were present on the occasion.
