A free eye check-up camp was jointly inaugurated by Uttarakhand Transport Corporation managing director Rohit Meena and Indian Oil Corporation Limited executive director and State head Rajkumar Dubey on Friday at Uttarakhand Transport Corporation Dehradun depot.
This free eye check-up camp was organised by Indian Oil Corporation with the objective of checking the eye health of drivers mainly operating in hilly areas, so as to ensure the safety of not only the driver but also the passengers in this difficult terrain.
After testing at this camp, free spectacles were also distributed to the drivers who were found to have weak eyesight. The IOC is conducting eye health check-up of UTC bus drivers of all 17 depots of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation as well as drivers of private operators.
