Intense showers likely in mountains & Doon today

There is no heavy rain warning for any district of the State for the second consecutive day. However, intense showers are likely in some parts of the mountainous regions and in Dehradun on Tuesday. According to the State meteorological centre, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in districts of Uttarakhand with intense showers likely at isolated places in the mountainous regions.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers likely to occur which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 33.8 degrees Celsius and 23.9 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.9 degrees Celsius and 26.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.4 degrees Celsius and 15.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.6 degrees Celsius and 18.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
