Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government has set an example by bringing the Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Ordinance-2024 and has given a stern message to the rioters.
In a statement the CM said, “The cabinet has approved the constitution of a special tribunal in the meeting of the cabinet held today. Our objective is to take strict action against riots and unrest. The compensation for the damage to public property caused during the riots will be recovered from the rioters themselves. Those who disturb the peace will have to pay a heavy price and state will set an example which will be remembered by the rioters.’’
