The Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated its foundation day on Saturday by resolving to achieve a victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections which is bigger than its victories in the parliamentary elections of 2014 and 2019. Party leaders said that the unprecedented electoral victory will be achieved on the strength and efforts of the party workers. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other party leaders attended the main function held in the party’s State office here.

Addressing the party workers on the occasion, Bhatt said that the BJP is the world’s largest party which also has the most popular and diligent leader in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “PM Modi has given us the target of 400 plus seats in this Lok Sabha elections considering the strength of the party workers. A large number of leaders from various parties and members of social organisations are today joining our party due to the development and social welfare works being undertaken across the nation,” Bhatt said. Referring to various aspects related to the parliamentary elections, he said that collecting funds is also an important task. He said that all the office bearers and workers of the party should donate a minimum of Rs five through the NaMo app and take this task forward.

Interacting with the media on the occasion, Dhami paid respects to all the party workers due to whose toil and sacrifices the BJP has grown into the largest political party. “The party’s foundation day has come at a time when the nation’s biggest festival of democracy is underway. We take a resolve to ensure that PM Modi is re-elected for a third time with the party winning by record margins on all the five parliamentary seats in Uttarakhand. The party’s victory this time is going to be bigger than the victories of 2014 and 2019 due to the efforts put in by the party workers,” the chief minister said.

Referring to the comment made by senior Congress leader and former chief minister Harish Rawat about the limited activity of Congress workers, Dhami said that Rawat is an experienced leader who has already guessed that his party will face defeat.
