Fired worker robs petrol pump of Rs 60K at gunpoint

A former employee of a petrol pump carried out a robbery in the petrol pump located near the Jwalapur railway station in the wee hours on Sunday. According to the Jwalapur police, Yashdev Kumar submitted a complaint stating that at about 2 AM on Sunday, a former employee of petrol pump Darshan Singh Dagar from Bijnor reached the petrol pump. At first, Dagar talked to the employees for some time and then after seeing the opportunity entered the office. The accused had worked at the petrol pump and so knew where the cash was kept. Finding an opportunity, he allegedly took out Rs 60,000 kept in the cash drawer. When the other employees reached the spot and tried to stop him, the accused reportedly pointed a gun at the employees before escaping on a motorcycle. The police were informed about the incident in the night itself.  On Sunday morning, the police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections.  The entire incident of robbery was captured on the CCTV camera.  It is being told that the accused was fired by the petrol pump owner two days ago for allegedly committing a fraud of Rs 10,000.

Haridwar superintendent of police (city) Swatantra Kumar Singh said that a case of robbery has been registered against the accused. The investigation has started and the accused will be nabbed soon, he added.
